Heidi Perry, Administrator
Heidi has worked with our youth since 2000. Prior to working for us she spent two years supervising a boy's and girl's residential program for Youth and Family Centered Services and three years working for Intermountain Health Care's Child and Adolescent Residential and Acute Units (coed.) Heidi is a certified instructor for Positive Control Systems. She is a working mom of husband, three kids, and three creatures. She enjoys hiking, camping, reading and playing with her kids.

Alexi Flint, School Counselor and Administrator
Alexi has worked for Oakgrove School since July of 2013. She earned her Bachelors in Psychology from Weber State and Masters in School Counseling from the University of Pheonix. She has worked in a High School setting for over 5 years and loves the age group. Alexi is married and has three wonderful children. In her spare time she likes to be with her family, play volleyball and ski.

Sharon Brown, Social Studies Teacher and Administrator
Sharon graduated from Utah State University in Secondary Education/Composite Social Studies. She also has her Master's in Secondary Education and Administrative Endorsement K-12 also from Utah State. Sharon taught high school for 8 years, Government and U.S. Histroy. She was a Vice-Principal and Principal for 12 years. Sharon is the mother of two children. She loves to watch them play sports, especially soccer. In her free time Sharon enjoys gardening, cooking, and watching Netflix.

Suzanne Ciraulo, Special Education Teacher and IEP Coordinator
Suzanne has been the Special Education Teacher/Coordinator for Oakgrove School since 2010. She has a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah and a Master's Degree from the University of Phoenix. Suzanne has worked with kids with drug and alcohol addictions, autism, physical disabilities, learning disabilities etc. since 1998. She is the proud mom of two children, two pugs, and recently adopted her parents. Suzanne loves to laugh, read, draw, go for long walks, have snowball fights, play games and be with her family.

Marvin Baker, Special Education Teacher
Marvin has family experiences that have taken him all over the world as he grew up. He comes to Oakgrove School with a varied range of class experience and skills to assist the students in their educational learning process. He has been in the field of aducation for years to include opportunities of serving in traditional and public schools, private schools, charter schools and the state school for the Deaf and Blind. He has worked with students from across the learning spectrum and students with a variety of disabilities. He obtained teaching certification from Utah State University and University of Utah. He is fluent in Japanese and American Sign Language. His interests include CSI, NCIS, Numb3rs, and mathematics.

Trent Dykster, Fitness for Life and Health Teacher
Trent has been with Oakgrove for just over 4 years. He started as a Youth Counselor at our North Campus and then transferred to the South Campus Transition Program. After graduating from Weber State University with a Bachelors in Physical Education/Health Promotion he joined the school team where he teaches Fitness for Life, Healthy Lifestyles, and Weight Training. Trent enjoys playing sports, taking his dog on hikes, spending time with friends, and teaching kids how to live a healhty, active life.

Steven Abner, Science and Geography Teacher
Steve was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. He then worked for Hill Air Force Base in mulitple capacities for 30 years before retiring as a Lead Industrial Engineer Technician. During his employment at Hill AFB, Steve graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelors degree in Geography. He later returned to earn his Bachelors degree in Secondary Education Earth Science and endorsements for Geography and Integrated Science. Steve joined Oakgrove School in August of 2013. He is married to his college sweetheart, has four children and five grandchildren. Steve enjoys creating scroll saw art work, making stained glass projects, camping, hiking, fly fishing, and sailing.

Brenda Wise, Language Arts Teacher
Brenda graduated from Utah State University with majors in English and Secondary English. She is married and has three children, not counting the ones with tails. Brenda is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Special Education. In her free time she enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, reading, and playing the violin. She frequently says "I love teenagers!"

Jaymee Morgan, Behavioral Specialist
Jaymee has worked with our youth since 2009. She is a full time student at Weber State University where she is pursuing her Bachelors in Business Administration and Marketing. She wants to "play professionally" after she graduates. Jaymee spends her free time snowboarding, hiking, biking and parenting her dog Molly.

Teresa Slaughter, Behavioral Specialist
Teresa retired from the Government in 2011. She left retirement in February of 2013 to work with our students. Teresa raised four children. In her free time Teresa loves to fish, camp, ride Harley's and vacation as much as possible.

Riky Vong, Behavioral Specialist
Originally from San Jose, CA, Ricky has lived in Utah for 5 years and worked for Oakgrove School since 2010. Although Ricky is very talented when it comes to communication, de-escalation, and organization, the skill most valued by our students is his ability to cook. Ricky is a Chef! Ricky graduated from Salt Lake Community College's Culinary Art's Program in 2010. He is going back to school to pursue a degree in Nutrition with hopes of becoming a Dietician. He was a former Sous Chef for a Marriott Hotel and shares his skills with us at every barbeque.
